Sandbox eduroam Network Terms of Use
Eligible Users
- Sandbox staff with an institutional account
- Visitors from eduroam member institutions (authenticated via home institution account)
Prohibited Activities
- Distributing illegal content or infringing copyright
- Hacking, fraud, spam, or any attacks against others
- Excessive bandwidth consumption (P2P, running large-scale streaming servers, etc.)
- Sharing or transferring account credentials to others
- Any other activity in violation of applicable laws
Enforcement
Policy violations may result in access suspension and notification to the user's home institution.
Illegal activities will be reported to law enforcement authorities.
Personal Data Processing
The following information is collected when using eduroam:
- User ID (anonymised before roaming log forwarding)
- Connection time and AP location
- Device MAC address
Collected data is used solely for service provision and security incident response.
It will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.
Data is retained for one year from the date of connection.
